A 13-year-old boy from Crawley suffered a swollen ear after a ball-bearing hit him.
His 12-year-old sister ended up lost in Buchan Country Park, Broadfield, Crawley, after the three victims split up to escape.
The boy, his sister and a friend had been playing in the park.
Police want to speak to two girls aged 14 or 15 who were walking a black dog in the park at the time of the incident, at 12.50pm last Tuesday.
