Green councillor Keith Taylor has hit on a novel way of raising money for cash-strapped Brighton and Hove City Council.
He says councillors should flog off the distinctive number plates of the two mayoral cars, CD1 and H2OVE.
If the council follows his advice tonight and the number is up for these cherished plates, it will probably find each one is worth its weight in gold.
