A motorist had a lucky escape after his car cartwheeled along a verge today.
The 26-year-old Eastbourne man was driving east along the A259 through Seaford when the accident happened.
It is thought he lost control of his silver Peugeot 206 while trying to overtake another vehicle on a hill near the Golden Galleon pub in Exceat.
Witnesses described the car cartwheeling along the verge before landing on its roof at about 12.30am.
The driver was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
Police believe a third car was travelling in the opposite direction at the time of the crash.
