Chichester Yacht Club hosted the GP14 Southern Area Championships last weekend.
And the bronze fleet were headed by the only home club success - Aptevyx, sailed by Nick and Biddy Colbourne.
Run in three fleets - gold, silver and bronze - the first five overall were gold led by the Staffordshire duo of Justin Jones and Chris Anderson sailing Trouble.
The leading bronze fleet sailors were Richard and Michael Harding of Frensham Pond SC sailing Argo Malcolm and Ryan Buchanan in their RS400 won overall and on handicap in a long-distance race featuring ten of Chichester Yacht Club's boats.
Having completed the triangle and sausage course, Tony Cross' 34ft MG Enigma was the first boat over the line in the Meadows Mug Handicap Series last Sunday.
On handicap corrected time the honours went to Godfrey Hix sailing his 26ft Hunter Horizon, GhyIIy. Godfrey leads the series overall. Second place went to Janie Smallridge sailing the 33ft Albln while Doug Beanlands and the 36ft Moody, Cloud Nine, was third.
Hastings and St Leonards SC held three fleet races with 11 boats competing overall for Topper, Laser and Handicap honours. The Laser fleet was finally won by Roy Sandford with Rex Patching second, Don Bowles third and Liz Shore fourth.

Fifteen took to the River Arun at Littlehampton for Races Five and Six of the Arun Yacht Club's March Hare series.

Lancing SC was forced to abandon the morning race of its Easter Series last Sunday due to large waves and high tide.

Hove's Helen Armour aboard the yacht Logica has about 1,000 miles to go before she completes the latest leg of the BT Challenge. Logica is in eighth place.
