It was a refreshing change to read Michael Parker's letter (Opinion, April 11) regarding the Red Nose carrier bags.
I was able to smile at an Argus letter for the first time. It should have been headed Red Letter. So different from the inaccurate letters blaming meat eaters for the foot and mouth disease.
The mention of the, then, exquisite Brighton Hippodrome brought back memories of enjoyable evenings spent there.
The quality of variety shows has declined so much, what with the loss of the likes of Harry Secombe, and not been replaced to the standard of old music halls.
I do hope that Michael was well rewarded at the supermarket check-out.
