Sussex is a hotspot for sightings of "alien big cats", according to a new survey.
Forty five reports of strange feline shadows in undergrowth or oversized moggies dashing across roads were reported in the county in the past three years.
The Fortean Times, a magazine specialising in strange phenomena, lists Sussex as one of the hotspots in the country for sightings, with Scotland topping the list.
The magazine says the sightings of ABCs - Alien Big Cats - have risen dramatically during the past year and most are leopard-sized and black or brown with long tails.
Editor Paul Sieveking said most sightings were made from kitchen windows, when out walking dogs or when driving along the motorway.
