Police have launched a hunt for a hit-and-run motorist who failed to stop after seriously injuring a 90-year-old man in Bognor yesterday.
The car shot across a road junction at 4.15pm ignoring white stop lines and continued into Nyewood Lane where it hit the elderly local man.
The car, a blue-green metallic Series Two Rover, stopped for a moment but despite the driver seeing the man lying in the road bleeding, he then sped off northwards.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
