I am sick to death of hearing how Falmer is the only place for the new Albion stadium - what utter rubbish.
The Falmer Road leading through Woodingdean down to Rottingdean is an absolute nightmare every day. Illegally-parked cars in Rottingdean High Street add to the chaos every day. Because the High Street is the main route to Falmer for anybody coming from Eastbourne onwards, the chaos is going to escalate enormously.
There are never any police or traffic wardens to deal with the problems and, according to the police, there aren't any traffic problems at all from Falmer to Rottingdean. My husband witnessed two lots of drivers fighting during the roadworks at Rottingdean last week. This will be an everyday occurrence if Falmer is built on.
I can hear Albion supporters saying the above is absolute rot. Well, I live in the area and I know what it is like on a day-to-day basis. If they do build the stadium and a wedding takes place in Rottingdean, the whole place will come to a complete standstill. Maybe the police should park their vans used in the old Goldstone ground days outside the pubs in the High Street - if they can get to them - because then it won't be just two drivers fighting, will it?
