The Anglers Den (Pevensey Bay) organised Dave Kyte Memorial Beach Match was supported by 105 seniors and 15 juniors and raised an impressive amount for Dave's family.
Among those who supported the event was Dave's brother Phil Kyte, who had never fished before but came in 17th with 1lb 3/4oz and was delighted to win a crate of beer.
Among the juniors was one of Dave's children, nine-year-old Daniel, who was fourth junior with a 4 3/4oz sole.
On the more serious side of the fishing, Zone A at Normans Bay provided the top three overall. They were Ralph Crosby of Hastings Angling Centre who picked up £500 plus £50 for being a zone winner and a further £50 for having the best round fish, a pout of 12 3/4oz.

Third in the overall placings and third in the zone was Ian Golds, the England international from Hampshire with 2lb 3 1/4oz and he picked up £150 plus £35 from his zone placing.
The top three respectively on Zone B at White Horses were Phil Metcalfe with four fish for 1lb 2 1/4oz, John Linton with two fish for 1lb 2 1/4oz and Andy Bacon with 14 1/2oz. Zone C also at White Horses had a top three of Brian Allum 15 1/2oz, Alan Gilbert 13 1/2oz and Ray Button 11 3/4oz.
