Horsham ran in five tries as they defeated Crowborough 33-20 in Sussex Division One.
There were two apiece for Rob Clegg and Paul Thurston and one from Matt Stone with John Macfarlan adding four conversions.
Crowborough replied with four tries from Jon De Sanpaio (2), David Roberts and Ian Gilbert.
Hellingly were comfortable 48-11 winners over R&S Alliance whose consolation try came from winger Neil McDonald. Jon Withyham added a penalty and conversion.
In the other game Newick beat Chichester Institute 23-19.
In London Three South East Lewes went down 22-10 at home to champions elect Tunbridge Wells.
It was a gutsy performance by Lewes in their final home game of the season, although three first half tries meant they were always up against it.
Scrum half Tim Hemsley plunged over ten minutes before half-time after forward pressure to reduce the deficit to 15-5 at half-time.
The hosts were a man short because of injury for a brief spell after the break and Wells took advantage to run in their fourth score.
But Lewes produced a spirited response and had the visitors on the back foot for long spells in the second half.
They were rewarded when fullback Allister Coombe came into the line to finish off a sparkling move involving both forwards and backs to score the game's best try.
Chichester's Four South East match against Park House was cancelled because the visitors refused to travel. Chichester have been awarded the three points.
Victory in their final game at Heathfield on Saturday could relegate the hosts back to the Sussex League.
In Sussex Two East, Plumpton drew 15-15 with Rye.
The Sussex Shield final takes place at Eastbourne on Saturday between Uckfield and Hastings.
Uckfield are chasing the double and will be crowned champions if they avoid defeat in their final Sussex One game on Wednesday, May 2 against Chichester Institute. Anything less than an 89 point defeat will do and the game has been arranged for Waterhall.
