ThousandS of people in Brighton have fond memories of the musician Douglas Reeve who died two years ago.
Nearly all of them will be associated with the organ at the Dome where he played weekly for many years.
Mr Reeve not only played a central part in the variety show on Tuesdays at the Dome.
He also eventually became manager of the building.
Now the organ is in a sad state and badly needs restoring as part of the refurbishment of the whole Dome complex.
An appeal has been launched to raise money and save the organ. It will be done in the name of Douglas Reeve.
Anyone who contributes will be helping to restore a historic feature of Brighton and at the same time pay tribute to one of its best-loved characters.
