I know the world moves on and that I could not expect to buy my braces at Broadleys forever but it is surely premature (Argus, April 23) to write of its becoming a branch of the GoodBean coffee shops.
I have not seen any application for a change of use.
Moreover, for Mr Bryden to see this as a harbinger of more "big names" is dismaying.
The staff in chain stores never offer the vim and gossip which is the hallmark of any visit to George Street.
