Sidley United striker and assistant manager Peter Heritage says his team-mates are under no pressure in their race with leaders Burgess Hill for the County League title.
The Hillians and Sidley, who drew with Littlehampton last night, are neck-and-neck at the top of division one and Hillians boss Gary Croydon has questioned how they will handle the pressure.
Heritage said: "Gary Croydon is entitled to his opinion but we are not feeling any pressure at all.
"We are just going about our business the way we do and we do not even look out for their result. There is no pressure on us, and we do not put any pressure on the players.
"If the league was to finish today and we finished second that would be more than we could have hoped for. At the start of this season we set out to win a cup and finish with more points than we did last season.
"I think we have just matched last season's points tally and we have a cup.
"This is a bonus for us and, although it is an old cliche, we are just taking every game as it comes and we treat every side we play with the utmost respect."
He added: "There is an old saying in football that you get out of it what you put in. Well, when the weather was really wet and the games were off, we trained solidly and worked hard.
"We know that the players have the stamina, and we know that they have the heart but what will be will be. We don't look at other results, we are just quite happy getting along with things."
