A 55-year-old postman has been sent to Lewes Crown Court for trial accused of murdering his wife.
Harchand Singh Sidhu spoke only to confirm his name, age and address when he made a ten-minute appearance before Crawley magistrates today.
He is accused of killing Rajinder Sidhu, 40, on Wednesday morning at their home in The Hovel, Kilnmead, Northgate, Crawley.
Prosecuting counsel Peter Nugent said Mrs Sidhu, the mother of one child, was found with stab wounds on Wednesday morning at the house the couple shared.
Sidhu was committed in custody to Lewes Crown Court. A plea and directions hearing was set for May 9.
