The disabled people who attend the day centre at Avis Way - who recently had their 80p pocket money stopped - will no longer have hot lunches because the cook is retiring (Argus, April 25).

So advertise for his or her replacement.

This is yet another cost-cutting exercise for the vulnerable.

What sort of society do we live in when it is quite acceptable to make life even more difficult for people with a disability?

And all this when this Labour government has spent £60 million on advertising campaigns. Getting the balance right? I don't think so.
