Correspondents writing about JoAnne Goode should show more tolerance. I believe she has an inferiority complex.
I can reveal she appeared in a Brighton pantomime recently yet made only a passing reference to it.
Did you also know she is a vegetarian (the modern type, not consuming flesh but willing to wear leather trousers)?
An announcer is about to broadcast the local travel news but is interrupted with JoAnne's earth-shattering news that a gentleman called Jim is passing the window.
I gaze out of my east-facing bathroom window noting the sun is obscured by clouds; JoAnne, looking southwards out of a Church Street window, says: "Hurrah, the sun is out and shining."
So far this year, she has moved St Peter's church to "on the Old Steine", stated that "croquet is a sedentary sport" and "the new Southern Counties Radio offices on Ocean Boulevard look like part of Dallas".
Surely the BBC has sufficient nous and funding to obtain presenters to front an intelligent and entertaining news magazine instead of the present clique of luvvies and sycophants?
