Eastbourne have signed former rider Stefan Andersson to take the place of Grand Prix ace Joe Screen, who will be out for the rest of the season after sustaining a broken thigh bone.
The Swedish star will join Eagles in time for the KO Cup visit to Oxford on May 11 and will make his first Arlington appearance in the return leg the next night.
Said Eastbourne boss Jon Cook: "Ando has agreed to ride for us for the next month. Then we will look at the situation again."
Andersson last rode for Eagles in 1998. The following year he was involved in an ugly incident with Eastbourne captain Martin Dugard while riding for Peterborough.
Said Cook: "I have spoken to both riders, and there won't be a problem."
