Albion fans all over Sussex celebrated after the Seagulls won the Division Three title in style on Saturday.

They thumped Macclesfield 4-1 at Withdean courtesy of a hat-trick from highly-rated striker Bobby Zamora.

At the final whistle, fans invaded the pitch to cheer.

It was the first time Albion had scooped a title since they lifted the old Fourth Division championship in 1965.

But manager Micky Adams' men will not be officially presented with the trophy until a disciplinary panel meets to review Chesterfield's recommended nine-point punishment for financial irregularities.

Zamora clutched the match ball and gave it kiss before applauding fans.

Some supporters who could not get into the packed-out stadium climbed on top of houses to catch a free glimpse of the game.
