A bogus taxi driver indecently assaulted a teenager after agreeing to take her to her hotel.
The 18-year-old victim arrived at Gatwick Airport by train but went to the wrong location outside the South Terminal to find a taxi.
She was picked up by the bogus cabbie and gave him the name of the hotel where she was staying.
But after a short time it became obvious to the woman that the driver had no idea where he was going. He got lost on the internal airport roads.
PC Kevin Clark, of Gatwick police, said the woman became perturbed and told the driver to stop, saying she would walk.
The driver stopped the car, turned round and put his hand on her inner thigh. He told her: "You have to pay in kind".
The woman screamed and got out.
The driver was of Chinese appearance, 5ft 5in tall and slim with short dark hair and a pockmarked face. He was in his late 20s or early 30s.
He was driving a black or dark blue four-door saloon, possibly a Mondeo.
Detective Constable Mick Jones is appealing for witnesses or information on 0845 6070999.
