Worthing pulled off their first win in eight games as Whyteleafe came unstuck 3-0 in their Ryman division one match switched to Woodside Road.

Rebels went into the clash having won only four of their previous 29 games and were able to take advantage of a tired Whyteleafe team having their third outing in four days.

Former Albion defender Stuart Tuck gave Worthing the lead on the stroke of half time with his sixth goal of the season from the penalty spot after Peter Brackley was brought down.

Rebels keeper Matthew May saved well from Dean Lock before Damian Webber rose at the far post on 56 minutes to head in a cross from the left by Simon Funnell.

Substitute Ben Carrington, introduced at half time in place of Rob Weston, sealed victory 11 minutes from time with a left foot shot from the edge of the area after a move involving Funnell and Brackley.

Horsham and Wembley shared the spoils in a scrappy 1-1 draw that marked the last division two action of the season at Queen Street.

The best effort of a goalless first half fell to Gary Charman, whose 34th minute shot crashed against the bar.

Roger Barnes gave the home side the lead on the hour with an overhead effort that flew into the net.

But the same player turned villain as he was adjudged to have fouled Wembley's Gavin Lindsay after 76 minutes.

Peter Sogbodjor converted the spot kick.
