Albion Reserves could not stop Fulham from completing a title double.
Micky Adams' old club beat the Seagulls 6-2 at Motspur Park yesterday, to add the Avon Insurance Combination crown to the first Division championship.
Fulham only needed a point to finish above Norwich.
An Albion side containing a mixture of experienced pros and youngsters made them work harder than the scoreline suggests.
First half goals by Scott Ramsay and Adam Virgo reduced the deficit to 2-1 and 3-2. Both were set up by Shaun Wilkinson.
Striker Lee Steele went off at half time with a knock and Chris Allen was also substituted at the break.
The scorers for a powerful Fulham line-up were Kevin Betsy (two), Elvis Hammond, Calum Willock, Kieran McAnespie and Luke Cornwall.
Albion Reserves: Packham; Hinshelwood, Jones, Wilkinson, Virgo, Wicks, Marney, Hammond, Ramsay, Steele, Allen. Subs: McPhee (Steele 45), Harding (Allen 45), Hemsley (Wicks 60), Jackson and Sansom.
