A youth who fired a shot at a train at Shoreham station is being hunted by police.
The incident happened at the station shortly after 7pm on Sunday.
The driver saw the youth and a girl, both aged about 14, standing by the track.
As the Reading-bound train pulled out, the youth raised an airgun and fired.
Police were called and searched the area but could not find the teenagers.
Inspector Chris Drew, of Shoreham police, said: "This was a serious incident and we are appealing to the public to help trace the teenagers responsible."
