A Mid Sussex couple said "I do" on top of the world today when they tied the knot on the London Eye millennium wheel.
Simon Stapleton, 31, and Dawn Bottomley, 26, exchanged vows in one of the popular attraction's pods, 450ft above the capital.
The couple, from Burgess Hill, became the first couple to wed on the wheel after winning a competition on the morning television programme GMTV.
The 15-minute civil ceremony, conducted by Lambeth superintendent registrar Richard Edwards, took place overlooking spectacular views of London on what is thought to be the warmest day of the year so far.
The pod paused at the top of the wheel as Dawn and Simon held hands and exchanged vows and rings which had each other's name inscribed inside.
As they exchanged vows, both broke down in tears and GMTV's presenter, Lorraine Kelly, also cried as the ceremony was broadcast live on TV.
Simon and his best man, his uncle Keith Langford, wore matching light green suits with white rose corsages.
Dawn wore a long ivory dress with a short veil - designed by Julia Church, of Burgess Hill - a tiara and white rose bouquet.
About 35 close friends and family watched the ceremony from a neighbouring pod.
