Albion teenager Adam Virgo has signed a new two-year contract.
The rookie centre half has been rewarded for a handful of promising performances during the Seagulls' promotion run-in, when deputising for the injured Danny Cullip.
Meanwhile, Albion have revealed details of three more pre-season friendlies, all away to non-League opposition.
The Third Division champions launch the warm-up programme at Worthing on July 17.
Micky Adams' men go to Aldershot, where they won handsomely in November in the FA Cup, on July 21.
They complete preparations for their return to the Second Division at Gravesend and Northfleet on August 7, with the season proper starting four days later.
The Seagulls had already announced games at Gillingham, two on another tour of Southern Ireland and their only home friendly against Sheffield United at Withdean on August 3.
