I was pleased to read the memories of Joyce Legge (Weekend, May 6), who appeared at the Hippodrome in 1959 in a show starring the late, dear Harry Secombe.
I do miss the lovely shows that used to be put on at the superb Hippodrome.
There was also mention of her son, David, who made listening to the local radio in the early morning so enjoyable.
He was a star of BBC Radio Sussex in 1991, with his easy-to-listen-to voice. I wonder what David is doing now?
Thank you, Joyce, for reminding me of the good times of yesteryear and for making it possible for me to enjoy hours of radio listening.
