Matt Bray completed one of his most successful seasons when he and Mark James beat Richard Barrett and Tony Kelly of Hove Legion to win the East Sussex pairs championship.
Bray hit a 42 and a 34 to see them into a 3-0 lead before the Hove partnership fought back with a 62-54 win. That was their only success as the Eastbourne pairing took the fifth 51-35 for a 4-1 win.
Bray had already won a record equalling fifth Eastbourne championship, a medal for the Eastbourne Championship League Division One, the Eastbourne Billiards and the most wins.
Aged 25 next week, Bray and James lost out to Glen Williams and Peter Buckland in the Eastbourne Pairs to spoil their season's record.
Last Wednesday at Rileys, Hastings, James Loft won the £30 first prize in the club handicap after beating Andy Stone in straight frames and giving him ten per frame.
Rileys will start up a kids club on Saturdays (9am to 1pm) including coaching from Ashley Trowell for £5.
Julie Loft won the handicap at O'Sullivan's in Bexhill when she beat Rob Hiscocks in the final.
