I was sickened to see Micky Adams swamped by too many keen fans. He looked scared and worried.
How many of these Albion fans went to Gillingham? Not many. Rosemary Ticehurst went to every game at Kent. I heard a man tell JoAnne Goode that many fans were willing to pay hundreds of pounds on Tuesday. Why?
At Gillingham, no more than 2,000 die-hard fans went to every game. My neighbour used to laugh at us for going. He used to crack silly jokes about the Albion.
Well done, Micky, Bob, Alan Cork, Steve Gritt, Jeff Wood, Dick Knight and the rest of you.
