More than 100 Morris Minors took part in a rally which is an annual treat for enthusiasts.
Owners of the popular Forties car took them for a spin around the site at Drusillas Zoo Park at Alfriston.
After being unveiled at the 1948 Motor Show at Earls Court, the Morris Minor went on to become the first British car to sell a million.
Among the classics on show yesterday was a 1968 convertible.
Owner Ian Griffiths, from Eastbourne, spent a year restoring it after it was left outside by its former owner.
Visitors to the park also enjoyed browsing through a selection of stalls, plus tombola.
A spokesman said: "It has been a hugely enjoyable day."
During the rally, awards were presented for the best-looking and best restored vehicle among the fleet.
Next Sunday more than 100 classic vehicles, including cars, buses and vans, will be displayed at Drusillas by members of the Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club.
