Congratulations to Hove police on their recent crackdown on illegal parking.
Perhaps they could extend their efforts to Portland Road, where there has been a recent increase in hazardous illegal parking, notably outside the Conservative Party office.
When I mentioned this to a party official leaving the office on Saturday morning, he laughed, blamed somebody else and then proceeded to attach a Conservative Party billboard to the top of his white van, which was dangerously parked on double yellow lines by the traffic lights.
Can we not expect a better standard of behaviour from those seeking to represent us or does "standing up for your right to drive" (Common Sense, Hove Conservative Party newsletter) include the right to park your car wherever you like, regardless of the consequences and the effects on other people?
