It was great to see hundreds of people converging on East Brighton Park on Saturday night.
It was a brilliant idea to stage some of the Festival's street events in Whitehawk and Moulsecoomb, especially since it can be difficult and expensive for families to get into the city centre and so residents of these sometimes maligned areas to become hosts to the rest of the Brightonians and Hoveites.
I wonder how people in these areas felt about the sudden influx? I imagine many were pleased, although we did encounter a couple who were less than ecstatic about my friend's attempt to park outside their house. (More designated parking areas, too, please.)
I think there was also a pedestrian involved in a traffic accident a little bit higher up Wilson Avenue.
