Sussex under-tens and under-11s enjoyed success in the LTA Regional Inter County Championships.

The boys under-11s scored 3-2 victories over Buckinghamshire and the Channel Islands in Hampshire with Max Barnard (Alfriston), Tom Clarke (Eastbourne), Felix Gregory (Am-herst) and Chris Spiller (Uckfield).

Olivia Smith (Hay-wards Heath), Kate Smith (Horsham), Meg Leckie (Hailsham) and Bianca Jones (Am-herst) defeated the same opposition in Buckinghamshire.

Robert Lee (Hove), Karl Kasparis (Worth-ing) and Michael Goode (East Grin-stead) helped the boys under-tens defeat Buckinghamshire and Channel Isles 4-1 in Surrey.

The girls team of Aamena Naliyawala (Eastbourne), Suzy Larkin (Amherst), Sarah Cloy (Horsham) and Laura Newman (Cooden Beach) beat Buckinghamshire 5-0 and lost 4-1 to the Islanders at Wickwoods, Albourne.

The second half of the under-tens and under-11s group matches against Surrey and Hampshire is next month.

The first LTA South East Region Under-Tens event is held at Hove Park this weekend. It has a 16-player draw.

Sussex will face Hertfordshire in Division Two of the Veterans League at West Worthing this weekend after over-coming Berkshire 4-1 last week.
