Teenage snooker ace Jimmy Robertson has won his first England call-up.
The 15-year-old from Bexhill has been selected to represent England under-17s at the home internationals in Prestatyn, North Wales, in September.
Robertson's father Brian said: "With all the hard work and dedication he has put in over the years and the disappointment of missing out on selection last year, his selection is thoroughly deserved."
Robertson has been playing snooker since the age of eight on full size tables and he trains every day for three or four hours, mainly at the Q-Ball in Eastbourne who also sponsor him.
He has won almost 200 trophies since his first win when he was nine, having started in local competitions before progressing to the Frank Sandell School of Coaching tournaments."
Brian added: "Frank Sandell, who has been in the business for well over 30 years, was one of the first people to recognise his potential at such an early age and he has always said Jimmy could one day be a world star."
The Bexhill High School pupil has compiled over 180 centuries to date, including 30 in competition, the highest being a 130 and a 146 against practice partners.
He first represented East Sussex at under-19 level when he was 12 and made his senior debut at 14, and he will be bidding to qualify for the main professional tour in September.
