A customer chased two men who robbed a Horsham off-licence at knifepoint.
The offenders, both of whom had goatee beards and were in their early 20s, threatened a shop assistant at Unwins in Brighton Road just after 6pm on Friday.
They fled down Elm Grove and into Bennetts Road where they got into a white getaway car driven by a third person.
The first man was believed to be Asian and wore a black hooded top and a black hat. The second man was black and wore black jeans, a dark jumper and trainers.
Police searched the area but failed to find the robbers.
