A woman was attacked and raped as she walked home alone from a night out.
She was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her and forced her to the ground before subjecting her to the terrifying ordeal.
The attack took place between 1.30am and 2.27am on Saturday as the young woman walked home along White Rock Road, Hastings.
Her attacker pounced as she approached White Rock House at the eastern end of Clambers Children's Park.
The man ran off in the direction of the children's park following the attack.
An unknown vehicle, which police are trying to trace, was seen driving past the scene shortly afterwards.
The man is described as 5ft 8ins, tanned, with dark hair which was short at the sides and swept back on top. He was wearing dark coloured clothing.
