A motorist had to be cut free from his wrecked car today after it was in collision with a mobile crane.
The 28-year-old man was taken to Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, with leg injuries after the accident on the Southwater bypass near Horsham.
His Ford Escort struck the rear of the crane and then spun into the central reservation on the northbound carriageway of the A24 at 5.17am.
The driver, who was returning to his home in Southwater from work, was trapped by the legs and was cut free by fire crews from Horsham and Crawley.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
