Police will appeal on TV tonight for help in solving the 34-year-old murder of 12-year-old Keith Lyon.
Officers will appear on BBC's Crimewatch show to offer a £10,000 reward for information to help solve the crime.
Keith, son of the late band leader Ken Lyon, was stabbed to death on downland in Brighton in 1967 as he walked from his home in Ovingdean to shops at Woodingdean.
Several people have called Brighton CID since Keith's 82-year-old mother, Valda, who lives in Hove, made an emotional plea.
Anyone with information should call 0845 6070999.
