At last, a cowardly vandal is exposed in his act of defacement.
Graffiti is very damaging to the image of Brighton and Hove and especially depressing when so many people are working hard to improve the environment.
The cost of removing graffiti from property runs to many thousands of pounds in the city.
However, the negative effect it has on businesses considering locating to the area and on the spirit of decent residents and visitors to the city is inestimable.
I sincerely hope the ease with which a hidden camera caught this miscreant is a strong deterrent to others with similar inclinations.
This is a city to be proud of and the authorities deserve every support to ensure vandalism such as this is brought under control as quickly as possible.
