As a lesbian who has to live and work in the "real", that is predominantly heterosexual, world, I have been disgusted with the outrageous behaviour of the gay men in the BBC 2 programme Brighton: Out The Closet.
All it did was reinforce the stereotypical, camped-up image of the "trailer trash" gay men who appear on The Jerry Springer Show.
With the exception of the middle-aged lesbians who behaved in a dignified manner, the rest were a disgrace to their community.
I am always very cynical at straights who decide, once having had children, they are gay or lesbian.
Neither the gay man nor lesbian mentioned how their children felt at being brought up in this eccentric homosexual world they had been thrust into, having previously lived in a heterosexual environment.
I found it a very sad view of Brighton and have no wish to visit this year.
