Following the article on Dr Paul Connett's presentation regarding the harmful pollution effects posed by municipal waste incineration (Argus, May 15), Voice Of The Argus stated the campaigners against a local plant do not want it built near their homes.
True. But you chose to overlook the fact we do not want it built anywhere.
The Argus also pointed out that Dr Connett's comments conflict strongly with the evidence from authorities that declare these incinerators to be safe. Where is this evidence? Or are we just supposed to accept what we are told as being true?
For certain, the production of harmful pollutants from this type of waste disposal is well documented worldwide.
A quick fix for East Sussex County Council, maybe, but not so good for our children.
