Uckfield's Andy Denyer is leading the BEMSEE club's 250 Grand Prix series despite a big crash in the latest round at Brands Hatch.
Denyer came off at 95mph while in second place in the first race of the weekend.
Amazingly, he walked away from the incident unhurt and was back on the grid for the second race, battling his way through from the ninth row to claim a fabulous third place.
On the second day of the weekend, Denyer followed this up with a third and a fifth to leave himself leading the championship ahead of this weekend's meeting at Snetterton.
In the latest round of the MRO Championship at Castle Coombe, Denyer took a point by finishing 15th.
PEACEHAVEN'S Richard Freshwater continues to lead BEMSEE's Powerbike class after another impressive outing at Brands Hatch.
Freshwater finished second and third in Saturday's two races.
On the Sunday, he led from the first to the last lap before having to settle for second spot.
In the final race of the weekend, the 26-year-old finished fifth.
Although Freshwater failed to record a victory, he was pleased with his performance.
He said: "It was a good weekend and there was a lot of dicing. I led every race off the line, which is pleasing.
"I am still leading the championship but it is a narrow lead and I need to do some winning."
Team-mate Gus Robbins, from Hastings, had a steady weekend, recording a series of fifth and sixth places to maintain his place in the top ten of the championship.
Freshwater and Robbins are back in action at Snetterton this weekend.
