Alison Yaffe is smashing her way into the record books in the Central Sussex League.
The big-hitting Handcross batter opened the season in devastating form and was unbeaten in the first two matches while cracking 322 runs.
She began with a knock of 162 not out against Blackstone and then followed that with an undefeated 160 against Lindfield.
Handcross won both matches in a canter, beating Blackstone by 117 runs and Lindfield by a massive 175 runs, when team-mate Linda Marks weighed in with 74.
Another big innings came from Dionne Gooding, who slammed an unbeaten 128 for Yapton in their defeat of Rustington in the West Sussex League.
Other early-season century-makers included Ruth Hobbs (119 for Nutley), Judy Dryland (118 for Hurstpierpoint), Meli-ssa Mantle (106 for Angmering) and Caroline Gorman (106 for Ashington).
The best bowling figures were returned by Barbara Parsons, who took 7-31 for Hurstpierpoint.
West champions Angmering were involved in a nailbiting finish with last year's runners-up Horsham Trinity.
Angmering, needing 104 to win, were coasting until some fine bowling by Gill Stoner almost turned the match on its head.
She took 6-48, but Angmering got home by three runs.
