It was with some sadness that I read the rabid letter from Mr Alan Nunn.
With all the constructive, interesting and relevant letters The Argus receives, you chose to headline this from a man whose grip on reality is, alas, not too strong.
I'm sure every tolerant human being living in Brighton and Hove was proud to see people representing our city on television with such warmth, humanity and understanding - whatever the shortcomings of the programme.
It is important to realise intolerance such as Mr Nunn's can lead to incidents of hate crime, which is illegal. This city will not allow any of its people to be second-class.
The tone of Mr Nunn's letter shows exactly why we need an Anti-Victimisation Initiative. Please call the AVI on 01273 291099 or 01273 291027 for further information. To report incidents of homophobia, please call 01273 665502.
