Hannah Bates of Patcham High broke under-15 records to win the 800m in 2min.19sec and the 1,500m in 4min.56.1sec at the Brighton Hove and Portslade Schools Championships at Withdean.
Cardinal Newman sprinter Setijan Osho won the 200m in 23.3sec to break the 26-year-old record of Ray Key (Falmer) and claimed the 100m crown.
Lucy Ramsay (Varndean) took the long jump with a record leap (4.99m) and the 200m in an English Schools' Championship entry-standard 26.2sec.
Nimi Iniekio (Cardinal Newman) won the shot putt with a personal best 11.22m. Brother Eibi triumphed in the long jump (5.69m) and triple jump (11.76m) at under-17s. Jenny Bliss (Blatchington Mill) won the 300m and 80m hurdles in an entry-standard 46.5sec and 12.7sec respectively.
