Traders in George Street in Hove have thanked workmen who gave their street a £450,000 facelift.
Business has been affected by improvements which have been designed to turn the precinct into a Continental-style boulevard.
Shopowners were so grateful that workmen tried to keep disruption to a minimum that they gave them a free lunch.
And the team of builders were only too happy to fill their boots.
