The Ifield club trio of Ritchie Venner, Mayur Majithia and Terry Haley won a silver medal in the Ormsby Cup, the national club team event held at Liverpool.
They defeated Bramley, Leeds 5-2, Merseyside Police 5-4 before losing 5-1 to London Progress. It means the Crawley team are the second best club side in England.
The Horsham A team is disbanding because the club does not have sufficent fuinds for a 14-match programme next season.
Horsham will continue to field three teams but Venner, Adrian Moore, Dominic Hall and Nigel Eckersley are thinking about playing for other clubs in the British League premier division.
Horsham secretary Derek Bunday said: "This upheaval is most unfortunate. We are the third strongest team in England but we have lost our sponsor, Sun Alliance, and the team failed to win any prize money.
"This means we do not have the cash to travel on long journeys such as Darlington."
The three Horsham teams will play on four weekends, which is the current format for divisions one to three.
Sussex administrators have five weeks to find a new chairman for the Sussex Association following the late withdrawal from the post by Keith Jackson of Hurstpierpoint.
