A five-year old boy went missing for more than three-hours from a Sussex beach.
The youngster disappeared at 2.30pm from the beach at West Wittering yesterday.
His panic-stricken mother searched for him for almost an hour before raising the alarm.
Sussex Police launched a search in partnership with Coastguards.
The boy was eventually discovered at West Sands Caravan Park in Selsey at 5.30pm.
Security staff at the park had found the boy wandering around and alerted police at 6.15pm. He was reunited with his mother shortly afterwards.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "It is virtually unbroken beach on that part of the coast and the boy had just followed it round. He probably walked about two miles.
"He was unharmed, just cold, hungry and a bit fed up."
