Eastbourne B beat Lewes A in the last match with the only Lewes success coming from Peacehaven's Gary Page who beat Paul Hindle 60-38 and 58-14.

That left Eastbourne A to get eight frames against Brighton A. Eastbourne led 2-0 before Matthew Bray notched breaks of 34 and 89 against Tony Strange and Neil Sivyer made it six with 30 and 63 in the first and 30 in the second to beat John Gillard.

Despite a good effort Stuart Dunseith lost 75-60 to Nick Driver. However, Driver then hit a 104 break to clinch the winning frame.

Brighton players put that behind them to take the Sussex Billiard Table Company Club Knockout Trophy when the 147 Club beat Dolphin A.

Mark Crotty beat Michael West 62-27 in the first before Tony Strange, Dunseith and Ben Evans made it 3-1 with Evans notching a 68 break to finish it.

The scores were levelled when Rod Morgan found Andy Gatward too strong and went down 58-28 and 71-1.

Malcolm Egginton could not handle Andy Phillips, who won 56-24 and 68-30.
