Arsonists could be responsible for a fire at a factory unit last night.
The blaze broke out at a unit owned by Corodine on the Commerce Industrial Estate in Peters Road, Lancing, at 9.30pm.
Two crews from Lancing and a support unit from Shoreham tackled the flames but there were no injuries.
Staff were today checking the building, which was badly scorched by the flames.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
Meanwhile, firefighters were called to Woolworth's, Montague Street, at 10am today when an automatic fire alarm sounded Scores of staff and shoppers watched as crews checked the building, but it proved to be a false alarm and the all-clear was quickly sounded.
