There was a competitive edge by both fleets at Lancing in their pursuit of trophy honours.
The Derek Atkins Trophy was up for grabs for the Fast Fleet and the Owen Memorial Shield for the Slow Fleet.
Both fleets were scheduled to have six races with four to count but, with unsuitable weather conditions, only five races were completed.
Sunday's strong winds led to several capsizes and broken rudders, which took their toll on the number of finishers.
A Laser top mast was another casualty and Chris Foster had the misfortune to sustain a broken goose neck on his Laser 4000.
Those that did complete the races all knew they had been in a hard fought event.
In the Fast Fleet, Mike and Diana Croker in their Laser 2 took the honours, but only just. Their series of 1,2,1 was equal to second placed Alex Koukourakis's 1,1,2.
The RS600 of Alex had the last race tie break rules against him. In third place was Steve Skudder and Kate Fitzsimmons with a 1,3,2 series.
In the Slow Fleet, Dave Penwarden, sailing his Laser Radial, put together a brilliant Sunday series, winning all three races.
He took the Shield without having to sail on Monday. A 3,2,2, series gave Alan Simmons and his Streaker second place and the Topper of Mikaela Meik came third with her series of 2,3,5.
