It is unfortunate the reporter should have used only national data in his story "Labour leads with gay voters" (Argus, May 31). These data bear little relationship to the lesbian and gay community in Brighton and Hove.
Does the reporter know the Green Party is the third political force in Brighton? Does he know, of the three Brighton and Hove constituencies, the local Green Party has the unique distinction of selecting us - two openly gay candidates for this election, one male, one female - and that, locally, Greens have been leading the equality agenda? The Green Party enjoys the support of many lesbian and gay voters in our city.
